Key Facts This option extends option R&S®SMU-K42 (Digital Standard 3GPP FDD) to full HSDPA support and dynamic power control. R&S®SMU-K43 allows the simulation of HS-SCCH (high speed shared control channel) and HS-PDSCH (high speed physical downlink shared channel) in downlink according to TS25.211. This implies the correct timing between these channels as well as the possibility to set start subframe and inter TTI distance. Generation of HSDPA H-sets is also supported. In addition the simulation of a HS-DPCCH (high speed dedicated physical control channel) in real-time operation (UE1) and arbitrary waveform mode (UE2 to UE4) is possible. Option R&S®SMU-K43 allows the variation of the ouput power in real-time mode for up to 3 DPCHs in downlink and UE1 in uplink in three sub modes:
  • external : Node B or UE provides TPC info to the R&S®SMU200A by external connector (TTL Level)
  • by TPC pattern : TPC pattern is used to control the output power
  • manual : The output power is changed incrementally by pressing buttons or sending the corresponing remote control commands
